Résumé : Kagome est une jeune lycéenne tout à fait normale. Elle vit avec son petit frère, sa mère et son grand-père dans le temple familial, ancien de plusieurs millénaire. Un jour, alors qu'elle tente de retrouver son chat, elle tombe malencontreusement dans le puits du domaine. On raconte qu'il servait autrefois à recevoir les cadavres des démons. Lorsque Kagome parvient à en ressortir, elle se retrouve dans une autre époque ! Gigantesque retour dans le passé, elle s'étonnera d'être tombée en pleine période Sengoku. La jeune fille ne tarde pas à rencontrer un démon, attaché dans un arbre par une flèche.
